I'm lost...... What are you asking about?
I haven't seen Altec Main Air before. What components are in them?

Main Air were an Australian company/sound hire place as far as I know, who made road cabinets based on Altec designs and specs, and loaded them with Altec drivers.
I have Main Air 828 cabinets, with wheels, handles and protection strips.
When I can scan a photo, I will.
This is all a google search found: Juliusmedia - The 1980's It appears to relate to Australian items.
See para. 3.

Yup, actually I was thinking of Overeem, which mine are. Juliusmedia - The start of Production in Australia
Possibly 417s inside those cabs. Note the 'Altec' handles.
Nice bit of Altec history. Could be cheap Nat.![]()

As you guys figured out, no such thing as an Altec Main Air. They should have been listed as Main Air cabs with Altec components. I concur on the 417- which likely makes them worth more as parts. Buy them, sell the 417's for good bucks.
New cabs would be in order, Newer Altec mud magnet woofers go cheap and would be better for Hi-Fi.
